On March 8, 2010, Amber was united in marriage to John Troy Sorenson in Rockwell City. They were blessed with three beautiful children: Riley, Autumn, and Brayden.

The Sorenson's lived in Rockwell City for a short time, prior to moving to Boxholm. Amber was currently employed at the Louis Dreyfuss Ethanol Plant in Grand Junction.
