Henry "Hank" Donelson, 93, of Apple Valley, Minnesota, and formerly of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016, at Augustana Health Care Center of Apple Valley, Minnesota.

Henry Alan Donelson was born on August 4, 1922, on the family farm South of Ogden, Iowa, the son of Welcom and Helen (Campbell) Donelson. He attended Junction #9 country school in Peoples Township, rural Ogden, Iowa. Hank went on to serve his country in the United States Navy and served during WWII. He was honorably discharged in March of 1946.

On March 5, 1943, Hank was united in marriage to M. Doris Treloar in Chicago, Illinois. The couple established their home on a farm south of Ogden where they lived and farmed for many years. M. Doris passed away on August 29, 2001. In 2005, Hank moved to Apple Valley, Minnesota.

Hank was of the Peoples Baptist Church. He was a former member of the Edward J. Maas American Legion Post #55. Rhoades Masonic Lodge #303.

Survivors include one son, Kirk (Deanna) Donelson of Ogden, Iowa; daughter, Dara (Jeff) Ethington of Apple Valley, Minnesonta; six grandchildren, Lynne (Gary) Oberbrockling, Laurie (Matt) Pierce, Chris Donelson, Anna, Jacob and Zachary Ethington; and three great-grandchildren, Ethan, Erin, and Allison.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, M. Doris in 2001; son, Henry T. Donelson, daughter, Alana Kay Donelson, one brother, Kirk Donelson, and two sisters, Katie McElhany, and Helen Blaskey.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
