Wilma L. Hoffman, 92, of Ogden, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at the Perry Lutheran Home.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2015, at Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden. Pastor Wade Brandt will officiate. Burial will be at Peoples Cemetery rural Bouton, Iowa. Wilma Lucille Friedrichsen was born on September 21, 1922, in Peoples Township, Boone County, Iowa, the daughter of William and Helen (Thornburg) Friedrichsen. She attended country school in the area of her birth

On November 20, 1943, Wilma was united in marriage to Lawrence Hoffman at the Lutheran parsonage in Bouton. The couple lived and farmed South of Ogden until moving into town in 1955. After moving into Ogden, Wilma and Lawrence co-owned and operated Hoffman DX.

Wilma was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden where she was active in LWML. She enjoyed walking, bird watching, golfing, and belonged to the Boone Golf & Country Club. Wilma and Lawrence were also members of the Perry Elk's Club.

Survivors include her daughter, Deanna Hoffman of Ankeny, Iowa; son, Craig (Brenda) Hoffman of Cedar Falls, Iowa; three grandchildren, Dawne (Tim) Schmidt, Mitchell (Brandi) Hoffman, and Heather (Jeff) Martin; eight great grandchildren, Abbey and Alex Schmidt, Ella and Hannah Hoffman, and Kael, Connor, Adi, and Brynlee Martin; sister, Arlene Schnoor of Perry, Iowa; brother, Eugene Friedrichsen of Perry, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lawrence Hoffman in 1992, and one brother, Kenneth Friedrichsen
